Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Montana Fly Fishing Lodge (“MFL”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Lodge OS Kitchen mobile application (the “App”). This policy applies specifically to the mobile app. Information about the Montana Fly Fishing Lodge website is covered by our general privacy policy.

Who uses this app

Lodge OS Kitchen is a professional tool used exclusively by kitchen staff of Montana Fly Fishing Lodge (and, in the future, other lodges licensing the Lodge OS platform) to plan menus, manage recipes, generate grocery lists, and track prep work. The app is not intended for use by lodge guests or the general public, and is not designed for or directed at children under 18.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in to the App using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, we receive and store:

• Your name (when your sign-in provider makes it available)
• Your email address — or, if you choose Apple's “Hide My Email” option, a private relay address Apple generates on your behalf
• A stable identifier from Google or Apple for your account
• An authentication session token

Kitchen operational content

When you use the App for kitchen operations, we store the data you enter, including:

• Recipe names, ingredients, quantities, instructions, and categories
• Menu planning decisions — which recipes are served on which dates, and for how many guests
• Grocery list additions and shopping check-offs
• Prep checklist progress
• Standard menu templates
• Free-form notes, including text transcribed from voice input

Voice input

The App supports voice input as a faster way to enter recipes and notes. The resulting text is saved as part of the recipe or note you are editing; the App itself never retains or transmits raw audio to our servers. How the speech-to-text conversion itself happens differs by platform:

• iOS — speech is transcribed entirely on your device by Apple's on-device speech recognition. Audio never leaves your phone.
• Android — voice input uses your device's speech recognition service, which may send audio to Google's servers for transcription, consistent with your Android device's own speech recognition settings.

How we use this information

• App functionality: to plan menus, scale recipes, aggregate grocery lists, track prep check-offs, and render printable grocery / prep sheets.
• Account management: to authenticate you and maintain your logged-in session.
• Operational recordkeeping: to maintain the historical record of menus served and grocery consumption that informs future kitchen planning.

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, analytics tracking, or profiling. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for their own purposes.

Where your data is stored

Account information and kitchen operational data are stored in the Lodge OS backend operated by Montana Fly Fishing Lodge (lodge-os.montanaflyfishinglodge.com). All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Third-party services

The App integrates with the following third-party services as service providers acting on our behalf:

• Google Sign-In — authentication
• Sign in with Apple — authentication (iOS only)

We do not transfer your data to advertising networks, analytics services, or any third party for their independent use.

Permissions the App requests

• Microphone — for voice input to dictate recipes and notes. The App itself never retains or transmits raw audio to our servers — see “Voice input” above for how transcription differs by platform.
• Speech recognition — to convert your voice input to text.

Data retention and deletion

Account and personal data is retained for as long as you use the App. You can delete your account directly from within the App at any time — open the account icon, then Delete My Account — which deactivates your account and revokes every active session immediately. Recipe and menu records are lodge operational content, never attributed to the staff member who created them, and are retained indefinitely as part of the lodge's operational history regardless of account deletion.

Children's privacy

The App is intended for adult professional kitchen staff only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated through a new app release or a direct notice to MFL kitchen staff.
